Making History Heroics - USA/JP II Devon Almarinez + Ai Kurobe

$30.00

1951 San Francisco Peace Treaty with Japan

For decades, Japan and the United States have been among the closest collaborators in the world. Both nations, working together, have formed the vanguard of innovation. This partnership has led to mutual prosperity, cementing both economies at the top spots among industrialized
nations. Early Japanese factories were inspired by American example, with improvements made to increase effectiveness and adaptability using Japanese production methods. American industrialists were quickly influenced by these changes as well, hiring hundreds of Japanese consultants and implementing their ideas. Ultimately, the technological exchange of ideas, promoted by open
dialog and friendship, has made both nations stronger.

However, the relationship has not been simply economic. The most striking elements of this partnership can be seen in the cultural and artistic encounters. Just as science and industry has seen collaboration, the same can be said of art. Much of this blending and mixing can be attributed to the moving of artists themselves, who oscillate across the Pacific. Urban areas are the biggest testimony to this movement. Impressive works of collaboration and influence can be seen on the streets of nearly every city--from Osaka to San Francisco.

"Making History - Heroics" is on the front of the t-shirt. On the back bottom of the tee it says "San Francisco 1951."

This was a collaboration I did with Ai Kurobe. She wrote and translated the bio on the back of the tee.
